Qualified Veterinary Nurse

We are currently looking for a Locum Veterinary Nurse to join our team.

Working across well-equipped clinics based, you will have access to great facilities and teams of experienced Vets and Vet Nurses. We currently have clinics in the following locations:
• St Albans
• Riccarton
• Parklands
• Halswell

Veterinarian

Who are we?

Ourvets Christchurch provides 7 days of service across four locations in Christchurch. We have the South Islands’ only veterinary CT scanner, digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasonography, in-house diagnostics and a team of dedicated nurses and vets. We have capabilities in medicine, soft tissue surgery, oncology and cardiorespiratory medicine including echocardiography. Looking for a cattery? We have two luxurious inner-city catteries located at two of the clinics.

The practice does the majority of its own orthopaedics in-house including TTA, TTO and fracture repairs. We also accept second tier orthopaedic referrals from other practices around Canterbury.

What are we looking for?

We currently have a fixed term contract available for a Veterinarian to join our clinic for a period of at least six months. We are looking for someone with the with energy and drive to make a real difference. Commitment and passion for high standards of care, along with a great team spirit are a must.

What you can offer us:

BVSc or equivalent, and registration to practice in New Zealand
An experienced and confident Veterinarian with at least 2 years’ practical companion animal experience
A commitment to provide exceptional patient care
Willingness to commit to at least 30 hours per week
Ability to oversee the caseload and work autonomously
Exceptional communication and client relationship building skills
